Just like last year, we want your craziest recruiting stories of 2011! Why? Well, because we’re running the same contest, for one reason. For another reason, these types of stories are always fun and entertaining, especially if you’re a recruiter.
As some of you might remember, 2010 was the first year that we held a “Craziest Recruiting Story of the Year” contest, and we received a healthy amount of entrants. We expect the same this year. Actually . . . we wouldn’t be surprised if the response was even greater than it was last year.
The guidelines for any story that you submit is that, of course, it has to deal with recruiting, specifically something that has happened to YOU during the course of the past year. It could deal with a hiring manager. It could deal with a candidate. It could deal with a candidate’s spouse. It doesn’t matter—as long as it’s a personal recruiting story . . . and it’s CRAZY!
In order for your story to be considered for this year’s contest, it must have happened in 2011. However, there’s nothing stopping you from submitting crazy stories from throughout your entire recruiting career. In fact, that’s exactly what some recruiters have done. If you submit just such a story, we’ll publish it in the Recruiter Training Blog and give you the appropriate credit (even though it won’t technically be eligible for this year’s honors.)
That being said, there are three ways you can submit your “Craziest Recruiting Story”:
- You can email your story to marketing@TopEchelon.com.
- You can post the story by including it in the comments section at the end of this blog.
- You can give me a call at (330) 455-1433, Ext. 125 and relay your story to me.
The deadline for submitting your “Craziest Recruiting Story of 2011” is midnight on Saturday, December 31. We’ll announce the winner during the first part of January in the Recruiter Training Blog. (Sorry, there’s not an actual prize, but bragging rights and recognition can go a long way. And can you really put a prize tag on fun? I think not.)
So send us your craziest recruiting story—or stories (send more than one, if you’d like). It could be from this year, last year, 10 years ago, it doesn’t matter.
