There’s no disputing this fact: manufacturing is hot at the moment.
But that brings up some important questions:
- Exactly how hot is it?
- And what exactly does it mean for recruiters?
According to a recent article in USA Today, the manufacturing sector just enjoyed its best month of growth in five years. Many parts of the industry are hitting on all cylinders, so to speak, and as a result, many companies are hiring at a rampant rate.
The USA Today article stated that the manufacturing industry is adding jobs, increased wages, and perhaps most importantly of all, confidence to the national economy.
How is manufacturing faring in Top Echelon’s recruiting network, the leading split fee recruiting network of recruiters? Well, Industry and Manufacturing has always been one of the staples of the Network, and that certainly is the case right now.
Industry and Manufacturing currently accounts:
- For over 26% of all the split placements being made in Network
- For over 13% of all the job orders in the Network
- For over 25% of all the candidates in the Network
Obviously, there is a lot of action in manufacturing right now, but what kind of action? How plentiful are the job orders? Are the right candidates difficult to find? Easy to find? Impossible to find?
Do YOU work in the manufacturing industry? What are your thoughts? What kind of activity are you seeing?
